HOW TO USE:
To use waterproof tape effectively, thoroughly clean and dry the surface, removing oil or debris. Cut the tape to size, peel the backing, and apply firm, even pressure from one side to the other, using a roller or cloth to eliminate bubbles. Overlap edges by at least 1.27cm to maximize sealing.
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is dry for best adhesion, though some tapes can be applied underwater. Roughen smooth surfaces for better grip.
- Application Method: Do not peel the entire backing at once. Instead, peel a small section, place it, and gradually pull the backing off while pressing the tape down.
- Pressure is Key: Apply heavy pressure with your fingertips, a squeegee, or a roller to activate the adhesive and prevent air gaps.
- Temperature Considerations: In cold weather, use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the tape and surface for better bonding.
- Overlap: Overlap multiple strips by at least 0.5 inches (1.27 cm) to ensure a complete seal.
- Curing: Let the tape cure for at least 24 hours to achieve maximum waterproof strength.
